Greetings, Coffee Lovers!
We hope this newsletter finds you well and filled with the warmth of a freshly brewed cup of freshly roasted coffee. As we step into the month of February, love is (supposedly!) in the air, and so too is the delicious aromatic fragrance of our coffee offerings.
New Blog Post
There is always much talk from independent coffee roasters (us included) about freshly roasted coffee. It is one of the crucial differences between small roasteries and large commercial coffee companies, but what are the actual benefits of freshly roasted coffee? We know we may be preaching to the converted here, but we thought you might like the facts!

For the Love of Coffee:
Just in time for Valentine's Day, we are joining the AeroPress UK campaign to create a ‘For the Love of Coffee Gift Set’ featuring the iconic AeroPress coffee maker plus a bag of freshly roasted ground coffee. William has chosen our ‘Mexican WPZ’ single origin coffee for this kit. It’s a coffee produced by 20 women farmers who grow the crop individually but also together as a 'team' using the same methods to give a consistent quality. They do this whilst at the same time raising their children and running their homes. This same love and dedication can be tasted in the coffee. Makes for a great coffee in the AeroPress too.
Whether you're celebrating with a significant other, a friend, or treating yourself, our gift set is the coffee lover’s dream gift. Order TODAY if you would like this in time for Valentine’s Day!

Spring is Brewing: and we have a new crop of Timor Leste
As we eagerly await the arrival of spring, we invite you to indulge in our new crop of Timor Leste coffee. Just arrived at the roastery, if you haven’t yet tried this coffee, it is the perfect way to welcome the season of renewal. Our ‘Timor Leste’ single origin coffee scored an impressive 86 cupping score classing it as an ‘excellent specialty coffee’. It is a smooth coffee with a mild acidity and a pleasing finish with sweet, complex notes, aromas of treacle and soft fruits. From the Letefoho region of East Timor this coffee is grown by the Hatuhei Cooperative of 23 farmers.
This is a country struggling to develop the coffee industry after years of neglect due to the fight for independence. Timorese coffee is truly wild and organically grown underneath the imposing shade trees that dominate the landscape. With time old traditions in processing coffee, passed on from generation to generation, coffee is helping to build up more opportunities for Timorese people to create a consistent and sustainable income from which to support and provide for their families and the local community.
